B.E Petroleum engineering has course contents, professional training programme,projects and other assignments are designed to prepare the graduates to launch their careers in India and overseas in oil and gas companies.

JEE/AIEEE students will be given prefernce.
Lateral entry in B.E Marine engineering is also possible for Diploma holders.

B.E Information technology is designed in such a way to provide opportunities in general IT stream as well as specialized sector specific Maritime, Naval Architecture and Oil & Gas explorations establishments. B.E Marine electrical electronics engineering is designed to enable the engineers coming out of the stream to work on board the ship as electrical engineers. They can also work on marine related industries. Jobs with shipyards, dry docks, ship machinery manufacturers are some of the other fields they can look into. B.E Harbour and ocean engineering is formulated to obtain expertise in Harbour Engineering to fulfill the requirements of design and construction of Port and harbour structures and also to become Offshore engineers to design and construct as well as to operate and maintain offshore oil drilling platforms for oil exploration and production.

Lateral entry in B.E Marine electrical electronics engineering is for candidates with Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE). M.B.A Oil and gas management includes Strategic management, Oil & Gas exploration management, Petroleum policy, law and regulations, Petroleum finance, accounting and auditing, Contract management and negotiation, Production sharing contract, Supply chain management Business ethics & projects. M.B.A Shipping and logistics management is designed to equip students with adequate skills and knowledge in all the areas of general management and the functional specialization in the area of Marketing Management with sectoral specialisation in shipping and logistics management. M.B.A Shipping finance is designed to equip students with adequate skills and knowledge to take up careers in the Finance functional area in shipping and logistics companies.

MSc Marine Biotechnology helps to equip students for a research career so that they are able to do independent research on some unique microorganisms such as luminescent bacteria, fluorescent pseudomonads, marine actinomycetes, bioplastic producing organisms, extremophilic bacteria, enzyme producers etc. MSc Fleets operation management is designed keeping in view the middle level and senior level personnel requirements of the marine and allied industries.

For Mtech Petroleum engineering one should be B.E degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. For Mtech Marine engineering management, eligibility includes 1.Candidates possessing MOT 1st Class (Motor) Certificate of competency. 2. Candidates possessing UG degree in marine, mechanical, electrical engineering and MOT 2nd Class.
MTech Petroleum engineering comprises of the origin, structure and internal geometry of reservoirs, basin models, reserves estimation and development planning. Drilling, production and reservoir engineering are other subjects in it. Mtech Marine management engineering is a blend of core marine engineering subjects at advanced level and management subjects which are essential for techno-commercial operations of shipping industry.
