A nurse is offered different pay depending on their experience. On entry to this profession, a nurse is given a salary starting from Rs. 1 lakh to 1.8 lakhs a year. However, higher salary is given in government sectors. Middle level nurses are given a salary ranging between Rs. 2.5 lakhs to Rs 3.5 lakhs a year. 

The number of health institutes and hospitals are increasing every day and so is the demand for qualified nurses. After doing B.Sc. nurses can also work as teachers. After post graduation they can do research or they can hold administrative posts. A nurse can work anywhere where assistance is required as care provider. Jobs can be found in hospitals private and government, clinics, schools, offices, orphanages, etc.

Florence Nightingale is one of the most famous nurses known to the whole world due to the service she did. She was responsible for reforming the entire health system of British military. She helped the British army men during the world war and this act made her service famous.

Mother Teresa who has contributed a lot spiritually to the world was a very famous nurse. She has done a lot of inspiring contributions to several nurses. She had set up the great organization of missionaries of charity, which turned out to be the home of several poor people and orphans.

Walt Whiteman was a volunteer nurse. In addition, he was also a great poet who worked with the Army hospital during a civil war.

Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of Abraham Lincoln, was another famous nurse. She worked a lot in treating wounded army men during the civil war.

A nurse works at different shifts in hospitals. A nurse working in morning shift will be in duty during the morning hours where they are responsible for the patients care. They have to take care of the patients and also assist the doctors in treatments. They observe the patients, analyze them and report to the respective doctor. A nurse working in clinics and other places work during normal hours by treating and assisting patients.
