Counselor

To become a counselor there are many routes and they depend on what specialisation one wishes to take; for eg: one can do diploma in Gerentological counseling and work with elderly people or study child psychology and become school counselor. Some of the available courses are:

Graduation in psychology

Eligibility: 10+2  pass in any stream

MA in psychology 

Eligibility: Graduation ( Psychology graduates are preferred and most of the universities reserve almost 50% seats for psychology graduates). 

Post graduate Diploma in psychological counseling, Diploma in Gerentological counseling, Guidance and counseling

Eligibility: Graduates from any discipline are eligible.

# Post graduates in psychology can pursue Diploma program in Vocational Rehabilitation and Counseling and PG Diploma course in Rehabilitation Psychology.
