For the foundation studies program, the selection process has two stages: Entrance test(*) Portfolio review and interview The entrance test is an aptitude test. It tests the students on logical thinking, drawing & colour skills, visualization skills and language skills. Candidates who qualify in the entrance test must then appear for a portfolio review & interview in Bangalore. The portfolio is used to assess a candidates talent, interests, prior training, motivation and self-discipline.
The PDP for 3 years follows after the 1 Year foundation program. The following departments offer courses to students during the three year program: Visual Communication, Digital Video Production, Animation and Visual Effects, Furniture and Interiors, Textile, Product and Interface and Art and Design.
Eligibility : Graduates from other Art & Design schools or Graduates in any discipline with an interest in Art & Design
The criteria for admissions for Course transfer students is as under: Students who have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies in any field and wish to change their line of profession to Art & Design may apply. Students who have completed a 2-year Foundation studies program at another institution. Admissions will be considered on the basis of a credit transfer equivalent to the Srishti Foundation Studies Program.
For the Professional Diploma program, the selection process involves: Portfolio review and Interview
One can choose a 1 year or a 2 year program.
The programs are offered under the aegis of its two research centres - Centre for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA), Centre for Educational Research Training and Development (CERTAD) and Transcultural Design.
Eligibility:
An undergraduate degree or its equivalent. Applicants who have substantial and significant experiential learning, a portfolio of work and written evidence demonstrating the meeting of graduate qualities may also be consider.
