Writing is a craft and like other crafts the success of the craftsman depends on his individual style and acceptance by the readers. While there is no entry barrier to be a writer but honing one’s skills with courses in Fine Arts especially MFA in creative writing and MA in journalism, literature or related fields is advisable. One must read a lot and if possible meet writers at book festival and launches. Who knows one may begin as a assistant or may get opportunity to ghost write before writing the bestselling novel. Good command over language and vocabulary is an essential requirement.
