Courses & Eligibility

There are many courses offered to become a good physiotherapist. Some of the courses and eligibility criteria are:

  1. Bachelor of Physiotherapy or BPT - Duration of course: 4 and half years, Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 55% marks.
  2. Diploma in physiotherapy or DPT - Duration of course: 2 and half years
  3. Master of Physiotherapy or MPT - Eligibility: 50 % marks in BPT with completion of six months internship.

Common Entrance Test is conducted for the admission to these courses.

Course Fees

There are two main courses of physiotherapy: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Masters in Physiotherapy (MPT). A person having good scores in +2 is eligible for BPT. For MPT bachelor degree in physiotherapy is mandatory.

These courses start from the month of April every year. Candidates can be enrolled for the bachelor’s course in any private organizations or in any centralized universities. Pursuing BPT from any well-known institutes will cost Rs. 2lacs to Rs. 5lacs. Whereas the cost will be lower for pursuing this course from centralized universities available in India.

Jamia Hamdard Delhi DEEMED University ( NAAC A grade) : 1st Year tution fee for BPT course is Rs 1.2 lakhs.
