What do logistics and operations managers do?
A logistics and operations manager is someone in charge of distribution. They deal with shipping, aviation and freight companies and ensure that distribution operations run smoothly. These types of managers handle inventory, shipping and receiving, and hire and train employees. They are also typically responsible for maintaining a warehouse, and must be able to direct employees and help them accomplish their assigned tasks. They ensure that right goods leave the warehouse, in right quantity and in right time and reach the destination as per requirements in most cost efficient manner.
