What do Data Managers / Information Systems Managers do?
Information Systems Managers plan, coordinate, and direct computer-related activities in an organization. Depending on the requirements of an organization they manage and implement the computer system. Data managers make policies and procedures and execute the plans to manage the data assets of a company and to improve its value. Database managers oversee the storage of information in a system. They update the database design and application, install new software and protect data from hackers and unauthorized users. They also design and implement new data management systems. They work also involves configuring the hardware, maintaining the records on repair and installation and trouble shooting.
