Artist (Painter)
Introduction
— Pablo Picasso
Out of many, drawing and painting is one profession where formally educated and informally educated have been equally successful. To become a successful artist (painter there are three things you must have talent and I mean real god talent, should have a style ie your own philosophy that you want to share and you must know how to sell it.
What do painters do?
An artist (painter) is a person engaged in one or more of any of a broad spectrum of activities related to creating art, practicing the arts and/or demonstrating an art related to painting or drawing. A painter, uses painting as a mode of his/her creative expression, and the forms of painting can be numerous. Paintings can be naturalistic and representational (as in a still life or landscape painting), photographic, abstract, be loaded with narrative content, symbolism, emotion or be political in nature.
There are formal courses available for learning painting; however just like other arts, we have success stories of both, the formally educated type and not formally educated types. Usually three things are considered as a must have to be a successful artist, one, the artist must be good in one form of the art, two, he/she must have a philosophy, something that he conveys through his/her art and three, he/she must be a good marketer.
